"In more recent times, businesses seem to have adopted a practice of soliciting feedback or a rating on every transaction with their customers. Personally, we find this irritating and usually ignore such requests. However, on this occasion, we are prepared to make an exception in support of Damian and Caspers Glass and Aluminium. It is emphasised that neither Damian or his team have requested any rating or feedback.
When we built our house about four decades ago, we selected Western Red Cedar windows as a point of difference and warmth of character of colonial style windows. However, after many years of maintenance and deterioration, we made a decision to replace the windows which were not visible from the street. The limited replacement was what we could afford at the time. After a considerable amount of research we selected Clark Windows double glazed windows as the replacement windows. As Clarke Windows only supply windows, we needed to hire a contractor to measure, quote and install the windows. We finally settled on Damian from Caspers Glass and Aluminium to undertake to work. Damian's quote was considerably more competitive than other quotes received and other quotes left us with the impression that other businesses were attempting to take advantage of the contractor shortages created from COVID. This was not the case with Damian.
From the outset, Damian proved our selection to be the right decision. Damian heads a small efficient and reliable team that have delivered everything that we were expecting. With Damian, what you see is what you get and he is true to his word. Damian is a no nonsense operator who explains precisely the work to be done and delivers exactly as explained. Where additional work is required, usually window facings, Damian clearly explains the outstanding work and when the job will be completed. On completion, his team cleans the worksite and leaves the worksite as they find it.
When the initial windows were replaced, it became apparent that all the windows and doors in the house would need to be replaced. However, it was also apparent that we did not have the up front budget to complete the rest of the work. When we discussed with Damian, he was prepared to work with us to help us through a phased approach of replacing the windows as we could afford the replacements. Therefore, we have been working with Damian over about two years and are now nearing to the completion of the whole house.
Damian is not backward in explaining a better approach and pointing out problems or inconsistencies which we have not been aware of. Also, Damian has surrounded himself with a very professional team. David and Phil demonstrate the same commitment to the efficiency and quality of work as Damian on the worksite. Their friendly approach made it a pleasure to have them on site.
Equally, Tamieka provides excellent support from the administration side of the business and makes it easy to deal with Caspers.
Finally, Damian's work speaks for itself. We believe that Damian's work has enhanced the appearance and livability of our home. We could not be happier with the result.
